Kris Moyes Fan Club

In my mind Kris Moyes is a modern hero of music video (and other stuff) directing like up there with Gondry and Jonze and co. He has directed videos for Sia, Hercules & Love Affair,Wolfmother,Cut Copy, a super crazy one for Architecture In Helsinki and an equally psychedelic clip for The Softlightes. Plus he is catching up to big brother K.I.M. in the fame department. now go watch some videos now on his site or on the tube...I recommend Softlightes Microwave Song...
That is all.

Lupe Fiasco

In this picture he may look like another irritating hipster rapper but Lupe Fiasco is actually the Saviour of modern hip-hop. His songs address issues such as refugees, gang wars, corrupt police, the exploitation of indigenous Americans, child soldiers, terrorism, violent video games and their affect on kids the list goes on. Here are two of the music videos...
Little Weapon the best song of 2007 (video is made up of parts of the movie Blood Diamond so is quite violent)
American Terrorist this song needs repeated listens almost every single lyric references an issue that could be discussed for hours.

Thanks everyone for all the comments...

Lightspeed Champion

I love you Dev Hynes!!! I don't think he can hear me. Yeah this guy has just redefined pop...I no longer think of synthesized vocals and nameless backing bands when I hear the word.
I just think of an acoustic guitar, a keyboard and love lost and found....
Go listen to the Champion on his myspace immediately.

Crystal Castles

CC are one of my new favourite bands, the band consists of awesome bearded multi-instrumentalist/super-producer Ethan Kath and my all time hero singer Alice Glass. Some of their songs sound kind of like the sound effects of an 80's arcade game mixed with robotic beats and strange distorted vocals but some of them are ambient and dreamy while still danceable. so go check out their myspace now-ish.
Sorry my posts are so boring these days...well I'm not actually that sorry

They're from Sydney ... OK?

The Presets really are Australian! Why does everyone act so surprised when they find out? Must be cos they're so awesome :)
Watch the video for Girl & The Sea below and see for yourself how great they really are.

Catch-Up

hey
hasn't it been a while!
i have a lot to say but i cant be bothered saying it so i will just down my new favourite things :)most of which is british.
first of all i have become a big fan of M.I.A.-"Paper Planes"and The Wombats"Let's Dance To Joy Division"
I also am in love with Takashi Murakami who is a japanese visual artist not very well known but really cool sort of abstract complicated cartoony type illustrations. He did the cover artwork for Kanye West's Graduation Album..Enjoy
